Job Description :
NEWLY WEDS FOODS - GERALD, MO PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR - 2ND SHIFT Department: PRODUCTIONSUMMARY:ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Effective and successful Supervision of Production Line operations and employees.
  • Uphold and enforce that all employees are adhering to NWF Policies, Procedures and Standards.
  • Maintains successful Production during the shift and promptly resolves any related issues.
  • Works well with Maintenance, Quality Control, Customer Service and Warehouse.
  • Monitor and enforce GMP's and Regulatory requirements.
  • Complete daily Production reports including computer entry.
  • Assist in planning and scheduling Production.
  • Monitor all Production activities.
  • Monitor Product Quality
  • Troubleshoot Production and Packaging issues.
  • Complete daily Production and daily Security checklists.
  • Monitor HACCP program relating to Production.
  • Monitor Machine efficiency and equipment maintenance. Report to MTC any deviations.
  • Review and validate employee's documentation for accuracy.
  • Assist in month end inventory.
  • Work with HR regarding employee related issues.
  • Contribute to successful audits.
  • ADJUST SHIFTS AS NEEDED TO MEET THE REQUIREMENTS OF NWF PRODUCTION OPERATIONS, INCLUDING MANDATORY WEEKENDS.
  • Physical stamina and ability to work in a variety of environments such as climbing ladders, working at various heights and in awkward/cramped positions.
  • Always maintain the best interest of NWF business.
Perform any and ALL other duties assigned by Management.QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Minimum of 5 years of Plant experience in the food industry with 1-2 years of supervisory experience.
  • Ability to give and receive thorough instructions and communicate effectively with management, supervisors and other employees.
  • Excellent computer skills with emphasis in MS office and Excel. AS 400 experience a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Thorough knowledge of GMP's, HACCP, SQF and BRC.
  • Proven track record within a Continuous Improvement Environment.
  • Ability to lead, develop, train, and motivate workforce while at the same time ensuring a healthy work environment and a high level of employee engagement.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and hands on approach.
