Who will you be working with?

Our Wabtec Young Touchstone team combines knowledge of our customers' product platforms/processes with industry expertise to deliver unparalleled product solutions. Here you'll interact daily with all support team functions to solve problems and will partner with other key stakeholders to support our customers and their operations.

How will you make a difference?

As a member of the Heat Transfer & Energy Solutions group, you will be responsible for Providing overall leadership and direction to the Maintenance function by ensuring the safe and efficient performance of the facilities, employees, and operations. You will set work schedules, maintain the discipline of employees, maintain policies, provide coaching to team Maintenance team members, and uphold Wabtec Values. This position will report directly to the Director of Maintenance of the Young Touchstone Jackson, TN facility

* Strong Problem-solving skills

* Strong computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office, Oracle, Reliance, Workday

* Understand/Demonstrate ability to utilize lean, 5S, and continuous improvement methodologies

* Strong oral and written communication skills

* Ability to lead in a group setting as well as independently

* Strong Work Ethic

* Conflict Resolution skills

* Minimum of 5 years of previous experience as a Supervisor in a Heavy Industrial environment with 25 to 60 direct reports

* Strong knowledge of products, and procedures

* Ability to adapt and flex in a dynamic environment

* Demonstrated ability to drive accountability, improve culture, and influence

* Proficient in data analytics, systems navigation, and information management

* Requires daily face-to-face interaction with employees in an operations environment

Strong interpersonal and leadership skills

What will your typical day look like?

* Meet goals for Safety, Production volumes, Quality, and cost efficiencies.

* Work with other area site leaders to keep production flow.

* Approve employee times and vacation.

* Enforce company policies and procedures.

* Make sure all quality issues are addressed, and corrective actions are created.

* Maintain a team environment, focuses on completing department goals.

* Promote, and participate in all lean activities, 6S, Kaizens, Lessons Learned, etc...

* Maintain Schedule, and daily scans.

* Maintain Daily Gemba, and production matrix.

* Able to assume more duties as required to meet a changing environment.
