R.M. Palmer Company, LLC designs, produces, packages, and ships seasonal chocolate novelties. Its products include filled chocolates, solid chocolates, chocolate bars and balls, chocolate cups and coins, chocolate patties, and seasonal products. In addition to their own branded products, the Company co-manufactures both seasonal and everyday products for other large branded companies. Today, the Company operates out of two manufacturing facilities and one distribution facility with ~600 full-time employees. R.M. Palmer Company, LLC has some of the most differentiated manufacturing capabilities in the industry as one of the only companies in the U.S. able to make hollow molded chocolate candy products and multicolor chocolate candy novelties.

This position provides and manages full range supervisory duties in a fast paced production environment. Primary areas of responsibility include, but are not limited to, staffing, training administration, policy administration, safety awareness, quality control, production efficiencies, sanitation, employee moral, and overall Company objectives.

Responsibilities:

· Responsible for maintaining a sufficient crew size to meet production standards. Must communicate on a regular basis with the scheduling department and the on site Temporary Agency representative, as well as Shipping, Receiving and the Coating Departments. Approve records for the purpose of Time and Attendance. Prepare for absenteeism and turnover in essential positions.

· Administer proper training programs for job performance, safety, sanitation, job advancement and Company objectives.

· Implement Company policies. Educate employees on Company objectives and policies. Ensure that all policies are adhered to at all times.

· Responsible for maintaining a safe work environment, ensuring that all safety rules and regulations are being met. Communicate with the safety representative and properly document all safety related incidents.

· Continual monitoring of quality, working with the Quality Control Technician, Lead Personnel, Line Techs and other production personnel.

· Requires continual monitoring of production standards for all departments.

Requirements:

Basic computer skills

Supervisory experience in a fast paced manufacturing environment.

Physical Activities/Requirements/Conditions:

· Must be able to stand/walk for long periods of time

· Must be able to lift 25 to 40 pounds.

Palmer Company provides safety education ad training to all our employees in GMP Regulations, Food Safety Guidelines, Food Quality Programs, Employee Safety, and on SQF (Safe Quality Food) requirements on an annual basis.
