Duration: Direct Hire

Payrate: $80K - $90K Annually (plus annual bonus)

Shift: 2nd shift (2:30pm-11:30pm)

Job description:

Coordinate the production processes and lead any troubleshooting, scheduling, and supply chain activities across areas. Be an integral part of the operation and have extensive interaction with production staff, and key leadership members of the plant.

Responsibilities:

  • Drives a safety-first culture across production and meets/exceeds safety KPIs.
  • Champions safety walks and understands safety is the company's most valuable objective.
  • Ensures each team member abides by the company s safety policy, and each team member is trained on safety policies.
  • Ensures accurate use of tools, equipment, and materials used within the production department while maintaining a safe and clean working environment that will ensure the safety of all employees.
  • Achieves all production objectives through accurate planning to meet production schedules and deliver high-quality products that meet specifications and company's standards.
  • Supervises the shift production teams.
  • Ensures that each team member adheres to all company policies and procedures regarding safety, health, and the environment and that vital training programs are in place to ensure that all applicable standards are met.
  • Encourages a continuous improvement of individual and team performance, as well as align with all EEO policies and procedures.
  • Review work instructions to ensure shop floor operators have accurate and complete instructions
  • Identifies and/or tackles problems related to production process/flow and provides production reports to assist process improvement.
  • Coordinates work schedules, staffing requirements, and production sequences to improve efficiency.
  • Help set daily/weekly goals with the scheduling team and communicate any/all blockers.
  • Maintain time and production records.
  • Coordinates and communicates requirements with Procurement to ensure that materials are purchased or expedited in the appropriate quantities and timeframe to meet production needs.
  • Completes production plan by scheduling and assigning staffing; accomplishing work results; establishing priorities; supervising progress; revising schedules; resolving problems; reporting results of the processing flow on shift production summaries.
  • Perform root cause analysis and the implementation of corresponding corrective action plans.
  • Ensure all work is completed on time and to specification.
  • Coordinate with engineering and other departments to minimize production interruptions.
  • Meet tight production schedules to achieve high-rate production.
  • Developing performance goals collaboratively with their direct reports.
  • Ensuring that performance goals are clearly communicated and current.
  • Ensure consistent communication with production staff by maintaining high visibility.
  • Adopt a hands-on approach to engage with the team and involve them in problem-solving.
  • Promote a respectful work environment by actively listening, gathering factual information to inform decisions, self-managing reactions, and addressing unacceptable behavior.
  • Support the success of production staff by implementing effective performance management practices.
  • Offer coaching and clear communication on performance to facilitate staff development.
  • Support and foster an environment of continuous improvement by encouraging production staff to challenge existing processes and implement solutions that enhance the overall effectiveness of the operation.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma / GED
  • Must be a US Citizen
  • Current holder of or willing to acquire a DOD security clearance.
  • 3 years of supervisory, management, or lead experience in an Aerospace Manufacturing or Production environment preferred. Extensive experience in manufacturing processes, including lean manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems.Ability to effectively communicate (verbal and written) with production crew, engineering, and management.
  • Able to adapt to constantly changing work assignments and fast-paced work environment.
  • Experience monitoring, tracking, and continually improving the total cost equation.
  • May need to work some Saturdays, minor variation in the schedule(s), and additional hours as needed.
