Position Overview:
As a Production Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in overseeing day-to-day manufacturing operations to ensure products are produced efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards of quality. You will lead a small production team along with the maintenance technicians, monitor production schedules, and ensure that targets are met while adhering to safety and quality standards. This is a working supervisor role; non-union shop.
Hours & Scheduling Perks:
- During busy months; September through May the schedule would be Monday through Thursday; 10-12 hour shifts with a 4:00pm start time.
- During slower months; June through August the schedule would be Monday through Thursday with guarantee pay of 40 hours (potential of working 35-40 clocked in hours).

Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of production staff to meet production goals and deadlines.
- Monitor and maintain the efficiency of production processes, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Ensure adherence to safety, quality, and environmental standards on the production floor.
- Provide training, mentorship, and performance feedback to production employees.
- Troubleshoot production issues and collaborate with maintenance teams to minimize downtime.
- Maintain accurate records of production metrics, including output, waste, and downtime.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and health and safety guidelines.
- Implement best practices in lean manufacturing, including the use of 5S, Kaizen, or other relevant methodologies.
- Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, including quality control, maintenance, and logistics, to ensure smooth production operations.
- Support the development and implementation of production schedules and shift rotations.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years experience in a manufacturing environment
- 2+ years in a supervisory or leadership role
- 2+ years experience with operating forklift
- Seeking a mechanically inclined individual to troubleshoot and be decisive on safety and quality for production during the off shift
- Experience with lockout-tagout and various safety measures within production
- Experience with proper time management
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with moving 53' trailers in the yard is a plus (does not require CDL)
- CPR Certification is a plus
- Associates Degree or higher within leadership or manufacturing practices is a plus; note required
