As we continue to rapidly grow, we have a career opportunity available for a talented and motivated individual to join our Taylor Farms New Jersey team as Production Supervisor, located in Swedesboro, New Jersey.
Summary: This position is responsible for supervising all aspects of Production from staffing, scheduling, training to ensuring quality exceeds standards.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for supervising production leads and associates.
- Ensure production paperwork is being accurately and timely completed by leads and associates.
- Ensure proper cycling of production lines as needed in order to not delay outbound departures.
- Responsible for participating in plant-wide continuous improvement efforts for Quality and Food Safety.
- Responsible for ensuring Good Manufacturing Practices throughout the production floor and ensuring compliance with SQF Level 3 requirements.
- Communicate with other departments as required in an efficient and professional manner.
- Ensure standard yields and throughputs are being consistently achieved.
- Responsible for production quality exceeding standards.
- Responsible for ensuring associate schedules are being adhered to and reconciling any issues via the timekeeping system.
- Responsible for coaching, training and managing performance improvements as needed; 90% spent on the floor.
- Responsible for scheduling production and headcount.
Skills/Abilities and Experience Requirements:
- Possess strong leadership skills, minimum 2-3 experience in a supervisory role preferred.
- Strong communication, organizational and leadership skills.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel required and Kronos, Axapta, WMS preferred.
- Prior direct supervision of a minimum of twenty-five associates.
- Previous foodservice manufacturing experience required.
- Experience utilizing an ERP system strongly desired.
- Previous experience training, coaching new hires required.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
