Production Supervisor Position at FPC of Decatur Location: 29706, Confidential Recruiting Firm Salary Range: $85,000 - $95,000 Production Supervisor FPC of Decatur, a recruiting firm with confidential clients, is seeking a Production Supervisor for a cutting-edge Fiberglass Mat Plant in Chester, South Carolina. The successful candidate will play a critical role in leading manufacturing operations at the plant scheduled to commence production in Q1-Q2 of 2025. Reporting to the Production Manager, the Production Supervisor will oversee a team of 9 direct reports and collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure operational readiness and a successful production start-up. This position requires a safety-conscious individual with expertise in high-speed manufacturing processes and a talent for motivating and engaging employees.
Job Responsibilities: - Provide manufacturing leadership to foster a productive work environment and fully engage employees.
- Promote and maintain a strong safety culture, oversee safety programs, and ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Facilitate training programs for employees on safety, quality, and production procedures.
- Motivate and inspire the team to achieve optimal performance across all plant operations.
- Collaborate with other Supervisors to meet plant performance targets.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement measures to enhance production efficiency and quality.
- Resolve production issues in collaboration with maintenance teams and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Provide performance feedback, coaching, and guidance to team members.
- Manage scheduling for the production team and maintain attendance records.
- Ensure a clean and safe working environment is always maintained.
- Additional duties as assigned by management.
Basic Job Qualifications: - 4-year degree in a technical field preferred or equivalent production leadership experience.
- Experience in Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and high-speed manufacturing supervision.
- 3-5 years of supervisory experience.
- Strong interpersonal skills, leadership ability, and excellent communication skills.
- Proven track record of driving operational improvement through employee engagement.
- Proficient in MS Office with excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Experience in mentoring talent and possessing strong process and financial acumen.
- Ability to motivate and unite a team towards Operational Excellence.
- Experience in plant start-ups is a plus.
