Job Title: Production Supervisor Location: Muskegon, MI Job Type: Full-Time Salary: 60-65k + Shifts Available: 2nd and 3rd Shift available Shift hours- 2nd 1pm - 9pm , 3rd Sunday - Thursday 9pm - 5amAbout the Company Our client, a well-established and growing industry leader in the frozen food category, is seeking a dedicated Production Supervisor for their Muskegon, MI location. Position Summary The Production Supervisor oversees assigned areas of production, supervises hourly associates, and ensures operational excellence by directing work assignments and duties. The role requires a deep understanding of production processes, equipment, and operational controls to produce high-quality products efficiently and cost-effectively. Key Responsibilities Collaborate with the Operations Superintendent/Production Manager to manage production functions. Propose and implement process improvements for production methods, equipment performance, and product quality. Resolve employee-related issues and support performance reviews in coordination with the Superintendent and Plant Manager. Act as a liaison between plant and office to streamline communication and operations. Enforce Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOPs), and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Maintain and update documentation for SOPs and assist in regulatory inspections and audits. Uphold safety standards, conduct accident investigations, and ensure compliance with company policies. Complete necessary production-related paperwork and reports accurately and on time. Develop and manage the hourly employee production schedule and oversee training for new hires. Qualifications Associate degree in Production Management or equivalent experience. 2-5 years of supervisory experience, preferably in the baking or food production industry. Knowledge of union contracts and experience managing within a unionized environment. Strong interpersonal and leadership skills to train, counsel, and motivate employees effectively. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and other relevant software. Excellent problem-solving and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment.
