Job Overview

Direct all manufacturing operations to meet or exceed our customers' expectations, safely, timely, and in a cost-effective manner. Interacting and maintaining employee morale while enforcing compliance with safety and manufacturing procedures and policies is paramount. Maintaining minimum downtime and maximum work area efficiency is essential in meeting annual corporate goals.

A Day In The Life

* Plans, directs and manages all production activities related to the manufacturing process

* Maintain the highest standard of quality while meeting production goals

* Assure that accurate reporting and records are kept

* Work with various teams to improve production, reduce costs and improve lead times

* Maintain manufacturing inventory levels of various supplies

* Ensure all employees are trained properly and records are maintained

* Ensure the safety of all manufacturing employees, holding regular meetings and being involved in our facility safety program

* Scheduling and ensuring all tools and supplies are available to all shifts

* Ensure compliance with the union contract

* Work with Engineering and Maintenance in the installation of all new equipment and processes

* Track daily production activity in each work area

* May be required to occasionally work all or part of 2nd shift

* All other assigned tasks

What will help you thrive in this role?

Skills and Experience

* 1-3 years manufacturing experience in a hands on environment, required.

* Good understanding of operations and related equipment, results driven.

* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.

* SAP experience is a plus.

* Experience supervising multiple employees.

* Adaptability and managing multiple priorities.

* Ability to perform basic reading, writing and mathematical functions.

* Ability to communicate effectively with others both orally and in writing.

* Experience with standard safety policies and procedures.

Education

* Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent work experience.
