Job Summary: This individual will be responsible for creating and updating of all product documentation. This includes product manuals, animated product installation instructions, and production SOPs for all product lines. Major Responsibilities/Activities:
- Assist in new product support of high-speed fabric, sectional, and rolling steel doors including, but not limited to installation manual, user's manual, and parts manual creation.
- Work with outside vendor(s) to create manuals and animated installation instructions as needed.
- Visit field installation sites to gain insight on the strengths and weaknesses of already published documentation.
- Work closely with sales, technical support, and engineering to provide manuals which are clear for the end user.
- Act on assigned Engineering Change Requests as needed.
- Work with maintenance, production, and engineering to ensure equipment lock-out instructions are accurate.
- Update and create new equipment lock-out procedures and user's manuals.
- Work with production and engineering to create and update production SOPs.
Minimum Requirements:
- Strong computer skills (Microsoft Word, Adobe, and Excel)
- Experience with 2d and 3d CAD; Pro-Engineer/CREO a plus
- Analytical problem solver
- Able to work with minimal supervision and accomplish goals in a timely manner
- Effective communicator
- Ability to troubleshoot and correct issues
- Ability to work in a group environment
