Our Production Team is Kind of a Big Deal! UniFirst is seeking a reliable and driven Production Team Partner to join our UniFirst Community. As a Production Support Specialist, you will support incremental improvements and oversee process implementation. You will have the opportunity to become an integral member within the Production management team at one of our many UniFirst locations.

Compensation: $63,000 - $65,000/Annually

Training: Specialists can expect a 4-week virtual UBS training period. Specialists will also be visiting designated plants on a bi-weekly basis to undergo on-site UBS training. What youll be doing: Support the launch and implementation of production programs or systems. Serve as a subject matter expert and train department personnel on production process. Provide on-site support to team partners and management. Support Production initiatives such as UPM, serialization, auditing, and improvement visits. Support changes in corporate initiatives, direction, goals, and priorities to Production management. Support policy and procedure adherence Support the development and execution of production strategies. Assist locations improve performance on key production metrics. Help evaluate ideal labor needs, cost controls, process and policy compliance. Identify key areas for improvement with large ROI and work with each location to overcome production shortfalls. Support and drive efforts to correct deficiencies found during monthly and annual soap vendor audits. Work with locations to improve compliance with basic wash process procedures (i.e., turn time, proper loading, equipment utilization, proper formula use, and chemical cost reduction). Assist in managing action for each location where opportunities for improvement are identified, measured, prioritized, and driven by working with location leadership. Assist new plant start-ups. Complete other duties that may be assigned as required.

Qualifications

What were looking for: A degree from an accredited college or university is required. Must be at least 21 years of age or older. A valid drivers license and a safe driving record is required. Production and Stockroom experience is strongly preferred. Bilingual in English and Spanish is strongly preferred. Strong project management skills and attention to detail. Strategic problem-solving capabilities. Excellent intra-personal and communication skills. Ability to complete tasks under minimal supervision and meet task deadlines. Capability to learn UBS applications. Ability to travel between 50%-75%. Approximately 2-3 weeks of travel per month across our various North America locations. Ability to work potential weekends due to travel and deployment schedules. A valid passport to travel in and out of the U.S. is required. Travel to Canada will be required. Capacity to be flexible and shift priorities when necessary. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. Ability to commit to the completion of this program. Must be willing to relocate for potential advancement opportunities. About UniFirst
