Job Description :
Olsten Staffing is assisting a company local to Sumter, SC in their need for Production Associates. These positions are temp to permanent positions. As a machine Operator you will follow safety and manufacturing practices in a plant environment.Job Responsibilities:
  • Accomplishes assigned task required in the production of materials on all Extrusion lines in support of production requirements in a safe and timely manner.
  • Monitors all utilities and records information as required. Utilities include HTM, cooling water, steam system, air, chilled water and demineralized water system.
  • Ensures proper sampling, labeling, and packaging of the finished product.
  • Loads all feedstock when required (i.e. acid vessels, dissolvers, salt vessel LC-12, etc).
  • Performs corrective adjustments, when directed by shift supervisor, to equipment/utilities to meet established process conditions.
  • Monitors and records all process conditions as required.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work/process area.
  • Performs general housecleaning task of entire extrusion plant.
  • Cleans system from run to run to eliminate the changes of contamination.
  • Bags and palletizes finished goods and moves material by hand and forklift to quarantine area.
Required Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Mechanical aptitude and hand tool knowledge
  • Must have at least 2 years experience and a steal work history with longevity to be considered
  • Ability to grasp and retain instructions
  • Ability to effectively communicate between operators and shift supervisor
Physical Requirement & Working Environment:
  • Work rotating swing shift
  • Lift and carry 45 lbs repetitively
  • Climb and descend ladders/steps
  • No fear of heights or close places
