We're Furnishing Knowledge.Paintline Technicians are responsible for hanging parts/hooks on the paint line, taking hooks off as needed, applying the powder coat paint to the product, performing color changes and taping product coming off the paint line. The Paintline Technicians support the assembly cells and provide them with needed product to meet their final assembly schedules.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSProduction Activities:
  • Operate automatic paint booth
  • Hang hooks & parts on the Paint line following the identified priorities
  • Manually apply powder paint to production parts
  • Perform Paint Color Changeovers
  • Tape parts coming down from the line, to protect them from scratches
  • Inspect & pack parts off of the line (assemble as necessary)
  • Record bad parts to keep accurate records
  • JIT scan
Continuous Improvement
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities (Kaizen events, layout planning, Value Stream Mapping as events happen)
  • Provide suggestions for continuous improvement
  • Monitor productivity and downtime issues to provide suggestions
  • Be open to changes occurring to improve processes
Safety
  • Properly wear and maintain Respirators and coveralls used for painting.
  • Maintain Safety as the highest priority
  • Properly train new employees regarding PPE and Safety requirements in the cell
  • Notify the Team Leader and/or Manager of safety concerns
QUALIFICATIONS
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred
  • Ability to wear/use a respirator
  • Leadership
  • Good attitude
  • Dependability
  • Good housekeeping habits
  • Ability to follow all safety procedures
