Production Technician -Bindery Operator

The Pioneer Group, a Hearst Newspaper Company, has an immediate opening for an experienced Production Technician - Bindery Operator to support the printing of four daily newspapers as well as commercial web offset printing. This is a day shift role and when not running a stitcher you will be trained on Ink Jet Mailing, and Inserter machine operation.

Responsibilities

* Muller-Martini Saddle stitcher machine operation

* Preventative maintenance and troubleshooting,

* Machine repair

* Cross-training and staff scheduling

* Packaging, and skid loading

Qualifications

* high school diploma.

* 1+ years' experience operating a Stitcher-Trimmer

* Current hold or able to obtain a forklift license.

* Experience with mechanical troubleshooting.

* A sense of urgency and ability to meet deadlines.

* Strong math skills

* Team player and crew leadership
