PRODUCTION TECHNICIAN - Aerotek : Job Details

**Job Title: Production Technician**

**Job Description**

+ Essential functions include the efficient operation of the specialty chemicals plant.

+ Candidates will work with powdered chemicals used in the polymer-making process, which is used in plastics in waste water treatment plants.

+ Candidates must be able to work at elevated heights and move consistently between 4 levels of the facility. Initially, candidates will shadow other operators and document processes, performing basic tasks.

+ Once trained, the position is responsible for the safe, environmentally sound, and efficient operation of the chemicals' plants, including utilities, bulk storage, and warehouse.

+ Responsibilities include operating plant machinery and equipment, performing repetitive tasks, and remaining stationary for extended periods.

+ This includes opening and closing valves, monitoring instrumentation panels, and reporting findings from gauges.

+ Candidates must dump 10-kilo bags into containers, utilize basic math skills, track and monitor plant data, follow procedures, climb ladders, operate a forklift, and perform manual duties lifting up to 50 lbs.

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 6 Month(s).
