In this role, you will play a key part in transferring laboratory-scale chemical syntheses to production scale, optimizing chemical reactions, and supporting the development of our products from lab to pilot scale. This position requires hands-on experience in laboratory and wet chemistry development, as well as expertise in scaling up chemical processes and a deep understanding of pilot chemistry. Responsibilities - Lead and execute the transfer of chemical reactions from lab-scale to pilot and production-scale settings.
- Develop and optimize scalable processes for polymers and nanoparticles, ensuring reproducibility and consistency in larger volumes.
- Optimize chemical processes with a focus on cost reduction and efficiency improvements.
- Collaborate with R&D teams to design and implement scale-up experiments, modifying lab procedures as needed for pilot and production runs.
- Employ analytical methods, including NMR, GPC, GC-MS, rheology, and SEM, to characterize materials throughout the scale-up process.
- Analyze, document, and interpret experimental data, creating detailed reports and presentations.
- Collaborate closely with production teams and chemical engineers to provide support, consultation, and troubleshooting for chemical reactions.
Requirements - M.Sc. in Chemistry - a must. PhD in Chemistry - an advantage
- Minimum of 3 years of industrial experience; hands-on experience in scaling up chemical processes and reactions from lab to pilot or production - a must
- Fluent in English, both written and verbal
- Strong organizational skills and attention to details
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team in an agile environment
