Job SummaryThe Production Technician will play a critical role in machine operation, inspection work, and forklift operation within a fast-paced warehouse and manufacturing setting. This role involves assisting in production-related tasks, operating machines, inspecting products, and performing forklift duties. While forklift operation certification is highly preferred, training will be provided for those who do not currently have certification. The technician will rotate between forklift duties and other production tasks to ensure smooth and efficient operations.Key Responsibilities

• Machine Operation: Operate machines involved in harvesting and production processes. Ensure machines run efficiently and address any operational issues.
• Inspection Work: Conduct regular inspections of products to ensure quality standards are met. Identify defects and report any issues found during inspections.
• Forklift Operation: Operate a forklift to move materials and products within the warehouse and production areas. (Forklift certification is preferred, but training can be provided.)
• Production Support: Assist in various production-related tasks as directed by supervisors. This may include material handling, machine setup, and general support to the production line.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with other technicians and the production team to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of tasks.
• Safety and Compliance: Follow all safety protocols, including wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) and adhering to safety guidelines. Ensure a safe and clean work environment.

Required QualificationsExperience:

Previous experience in a warehouse or manufacturing setting is preferred.

Basic knowledge of machine operation and production processes.

Forklift Certification: Certification is a plus, but on-the-job training is available.

Skills:

• Ability to operate machinery and conduct routine inspections.
• Strong attention to detail and quality control.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment.
• Basic problem-solving skills to identify and resolve production issues.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and perform repetitive tasks.
• Ability to stand and move for extended periods of time.

Preferred Qualifications

• Forklift experience: Experience in operating both sit-down and stand-up forklifts is a significant advantage.
• Machine Operation Experience: Previous experience in operating production machinery or in a manufacturing environment is a plus.
