PRIMARY DUTIES:

• Assist in the safe, efficient and responsible operation of Refresco in its mission to produce safe and legal products
• Report problems with the FSMS to responsible managerial employees to initiate corrective actions
• Perform daily plant, line inspection for Food Safety readiness
• Perform and document special assignments (rework, line assessments, training, etc)
• Isolate and correct all issues on the lines to which you are assigned
• Understand and comply with all production SOPs.
• Review daily production schedule to ensure accuracy of material usage and generate appropriate product profile and pallet tags
• Set up codes for each sub assembly (cans/bottles, multipacks, cases, pallets), program codes into coders or devices as necessary
• Train personnel on equipment as necessary
• Coordinate with Forklift Driver to return defective product to production line for rework.
• Visually inspect product for defects, wrong codes, broken glass, dented cans, etc.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area in accordance with GMPs and company policy.
• Maintain proper paperwork during relief of Machine Operators A and B or Forklift Driver.
• Notify Supervisor immediately in the event of material shortage, line shutdown, quality issues, or other problems.
• Ensure the accuracy of case codes, packaging materials (lids, crowns, cases, labels, multipacks, etc.) of production items.
• During non-relief periods, continually inspect line for quality issues and ensure standard line speeds are maintained.
• Operate equipment and/or machinery as necessary on production lines.
• Completion of various reports such as downtime report, line inspection sheet, production reports etc. list not all inclusive.

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:

Understanding of Food Safety Requirements

Must be able to perform basic math functions.

Must be able to read and comprehend instructions.

Must have basic verbal and written communication skills.

Must comply with GMP policies.

Must be able to operate all machinery and/or equipment on production line.

Must pass forklift certification program.

Must have basic computer experience.

Must be able to multitask.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Must be able to stand during entire shift.

Must be able to reach above shoulders frequently.

Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds frequently.

Must be able to bend/stoop frequently.

Must be able to push/pull up to 50 pounds frequently.

Must be able to withstand temperatures below 50 degrees F and above 95 degrees F.
