Production and Processing - Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, andother techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.Skills/Abilities: Quality Control Analysis - Conducting inspections of products or processes to evaluate quality or performance. Equipment Selection - Determining the kind of tools and equipment needed to do a job. Installation - Installing parts to meet specifications. Operation Monitoring - Watching gauges, dials, or other indicators to make sure a machine is working properly. Manual Dexterity - The ability to quickly move your hand, your hand together with your arm, or your two hands tograsp, manipulate, or assemble objects. Visualization - The ability to imagine how something will look after it is moved around or when its parts aremoved or rearranged. Conduct trial runs before welding; make necessary adjustments to equipment. Correct problems by adjusting controls, or by stopping machines and opening holding devices. Dress electrodes, using tip dressers, files, emery cloths, or dressing wheels. Fill hoppers and position spouts to direct flow of flux, or manually brush flux onto seams of workpieces. Inspect, measure, or test completed metal workpieces to ensure conformance to specifications, using measuring and testing devices. Load or feed workpieces into welding fixtures. Start, monitor, and adjust robotic welding production lines. Inform Lead of any abnormalities in their machine operations. Generalized Work Activities: Handling and Moving Objects - Using hands and arms in handling, installing, positioning, and moving materials, and manipulating things. Controlling Machines and Processes - Using either control mechanisms or direct physical activity to operate machines or processes (not including computers or vehicles).
