Duties and Requirements:
- Performs primarily MIG and some TIG welding operations. As a part of the operation, the employee will perform cutting and burning operations using thermal-cutting equipment such as flame-cutting torch or plasma-arc equipment. Must often grind, flap disc, weld joint before welding together.
- Inspect welds to ensure conformance with specifications.
- Meticulous attention to safety and product quality.
- Overtime work as assigned.
- Minimum high school diploma/GED equivalency.
- Prefer candidates who have certification in flat mild steel in MIG ANSI/AWS D1.1-96 (will be recertified at Morse when ready).
- Must be able to work within a team of production welders.
- Must be able to measure with a ruler and read shop drawings.
- Prefer experience in lean manufacturing techniques and methodologies.
- Computer familiarity.
