The Production Worker follows standard work methods and practices safe work habits to ensure production is as efficient and safe as possible in order to support the production goals and corporate values of Corsicana Mattress. Must have a positive attitude and take pride in producing high quality products. What we are looking for: Team-player mentality, Strong attention to detail, Ability to maintain a good pace, enjoy working with hands and equipment, capable of passing a pre-employment drug screen and E-Verify. PRIMARY FUNCTIONS:
  • Reads Work Orders and performs work as assigned by Production Supervisor.
  • Sews, cuts, clips, hooks, staples, or otherwise assembles the materials to produce sub-assemblies or finished product from raw materials.
  • Attaches appropriate labels and tags to products and packages.
  • Packs finished goods into correct packages and/or boxes. Places finished goods on designated pallets as needed.
  • Tracks production and completion of Work Orders on schedule board or in computer system.
  • Notifies supervisor of any mechanical or material issues.
  • Maintains a clean and safe work area.
  • Participates in cross training opportunities in order to maximize effectiveness.
  • Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Two years' experience preferred
  • Ability to responsibly use work related equipment and materials.
  • Good communication skills - written and verbal.
  • Ability to communicate with supervisor for training and development.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to plan and organize, good time management skills.
  • Ability to retain information (e.g., policies, procedures) or find it as needed.
  • Problem solving ability.
  • Ability to operate under pressure of deadlines.
  • Cooperative, team oriented, patient, calm under pressure, and able to work independently.
  • Ability to function in fast-paced environment. Ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Basic math aptitude
