Location: Luana Iowa IAThis is a generic job positing to get your application in for review. Applications that come in to posting will be reviewed and put in a file used to quickly fill entry-level positions as they become available. These types of positions include basic production and packaging jobs. The majority of these positions work on a 12hr rotating shift and tend to start on nights (6pm-6am). There is an extra $2/hr premium paid for hours worked between 6pm and 6am. This schedule does require working every other weekend. Employees work 7 out of every 14 days. Essential Duties and Responsibilities of all positions:
- Assist with new employee training as needed
- Perform adjustments, minor repairs and changeovers of equipment to insure time allotments.
- Provide proper cleaning and sanitizing of equipment.
- Complete paperwork if necessary for inventory supply, customer order filling, etc.
- Inspect all equipment prior to assure proper operation and safety.
- Ensure operational procedures are followed and paperwork completed.
- Ensure GMP's, quality control, cleaning, and sanitation procedures are adhered to.
- Ensure safety procedures are adhered to.
- Assist in any other areas of the manufacturing plant when necessary.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent skills by experience.
- Must be able to read, interpret and understand written and oral directions.
- Knowledge of proper use of equipment, materials and supplies.
- Must demonstrate basic math skills to calculate production yields, and understand weights and measures.
- Must be able to verbally communicate, understand, and write in the English language.
Physical Requirements:While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be required to sit, stand, or walk for prolonged periods of time. The employee is required to use hands and fingers to operate, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls and reach with hands and arms on a repetitive basis. The employee must be able to push, pull, and move up to 100 pounds. The employee must be able to physically lift up to 50 pounds. All jobs require visual acuity to review written documentations; ability to hear and understand speech. At times there can be loud noise which may cause the worker to shout in order to be heard above the ambient noise level.
