As a Professional Land Surveyor, you will work on a variety of projects in both public and private sectors, including topographic, boundary/cadastral, construction, ALTA, As-built, land development, easement, residential, and commercial surveying. You will also have the opportunity to provide engineering support and assist with site design and layout for commercial businesses. Collaboration with entry-level and experienced surveyors, as well as other support staff, will be essential to ensure seamless project execution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with team members to understand their capabilities and provide guidance and support.
  • Conduct thorough research and gather data for projects, equipping field crews with all necessary information to complete the surveys efficiently.
  • Set up surveys for field crews and educate team members on specific tasks.
  • Delegate tasks to support staff, fostering opportunities for professional growth and advancement within the company.
  • Utilize conventional surveying and GPS methods to gather field data and determine precise locations, measurements, elevations, and contours.
  • Write legal descriptions, draft certificates of survey, and provide guidance to junior staff on corner records.
  • Participate in pre-survey planning meetings to provide updates and share progress throughout all project phases.
  • Ensure project schedules and productivity goals are met.

Qualifications:

  • Active PLS license in good standing with a minimum of 5 years of professional experience.
  • Proficient in Autodesk Civil 3D and MS Office software; preference for candidates with Trimble experience.
  • Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to work independently, with strong listening, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Fluent in English (verbal and written).
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
