The Program Analyst Manager's work plays an essential role in the department's ability to provide quality services to participants, analyze the effectiveness of its programs, and make program design and implementation decisions.Essential Functions and Responsibilities: Other duties, responsibilities, and activities may change or be assigned at any time with or without notice.
- Create tables, forms, menus, queries, and reports in database system, CaseWorthy.
- Assess staff work processes and design data entry processes to make that work efficient.
- Create, manage and monitor data quality (completeness, integrity, etc.) and work with staff to improve data quality and collection as needed.
- Extract data from the database to assist in departmental reporting (internal, for GII, and for external partners/funders), including demographic, service provision, and outcome data.
- Compile extracted data and perform complex calculations and analysis to assist in strategic planning, budgeting, and departmental reporting (internal, for GII (Goodwill Industries International), and for external partners/funders and grant applications) including demographic, service provision, and outcome reports.
- Responsible to support, advance, and contribute to a DEI framework and to collaborate with students, staff and managers to purposefully work to implement student centered DEI initiatives.
- Attend required meetings, trainings and develop and deliver presentations.
- Develop ad-hoc queries and reports to answer programmatic/policy questions, to support integration of the database into staff work flow, and to support manager's use of the database in supervising their staff.
- Provide front-line training, support, and technical assistance to staff in the implementation of department-wide database and its connection to program goals.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot issues as needed to ensure proper and timely resolution.
- Test new features to ensure they work properly.
- Participate in strategy meetings.
- Perform occasional student data entry as needed.
- Demonstrate safe work practices through awareness and observation in support of a safety culture; reports any potential hazards or accidents.
- Perform other duties as assigned.Supervisory Responsibilities:Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with Goodwill's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; monitoring performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; and addressing complaints and resolving problems. - Education: Master's degree in Public/Non-Profit Administration, Education, or Social Work (or related field) and at least one year experience in data management and analysis, or equivalent combination of experience and education. Master's Degree preferred, however lived-experience and international experience considered in lieu of more traditional, US achieved credentials.
- Experience: Minimum 2 years' experience and success in simplifying and communicating complex ideas and tasks. An interest in the role data can play in continuous program improvement and the development of a data driven culture within service organizations.
- Minimum 1 - 2 years of supervisory experience preferred.
- Ability to communicate and work effectively with staff from a variety of economic, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds, physical and mental abilities and sexual orientations and those with multilingual assets.
- High level of proficiency in Excel and experience with query design and developing database queries.
- Ability to utilize advanced formulas within reports to aggregate data.
- Experience with CaseWorthy a plus.

- Proficient knowledge with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).
- Proficient knowledge of Google Workspace a plus.
