Program Assistant - Automotive - Triton College, IL : Job Details

Essential Function:

To assist the automotive chair in their day-to-day activities.

Qualifications

Education:

* Must have a valid driver's license.

* Taking or having taken - Intro to Automotive and Electricity 1, is a requirement to be considered for this position.

* Must have at least a high school diploma or above.

* An interest in the automotive processes is a must.

Skills:

* Computer proficiency preferred.

* Must be eligible to drive and have a valid state driver's license.

* Must be able to lift and carry upward of 50+ lbs.

* Must be diligent, organized and punctual.

* Must have basic knowledge of measurement systems, and able to use all manner of tools.

* Must be able to pass a background check and pre-employment drug screening.

* Knowledge of fabrication processes and/or welding are a plus.

Experience:

* Experience in the automotive field, or previous work as a car porter are a plus.

* Work experience in an auto shop is a plus.

Responsibilities

Job Duties:

Job duties include fleet management, managing asset inventory, vehicle relocation, repairs and cleaning. Overall department maintenance and cleaning of instructional areas.
