Position Type: Support StaffDate Posted: 4/25/2024Location: iLearn SchoolsDate Available: 4/29/2024Program Assistant As a part-time Program Assistant in the Communications and Engagement Department at iLearn Schools, you will be vital in supporting the department's administrative and operational needs. This position is crucial for the smooth functioning of departmental activities, from the organization and execution of events to the management of vendor relationships and procurement processes. The role demands a proactive and organized individual who can manage multiple tasks efficiently, assist in content creation, and actively participate in school activities and events. Location: Fair Lawn Schedule:
  • 25-30 hours per week
  • Typical hours: 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM
  • Flexibility required for occasional variations in schedule based on department needs.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide comprehensive administrative support to the Communications and Engagement Department.
  • Coordinate the planning and execution of departmental events and activities.
  • Assist with the procurement processes, including ordering supplies and processing purchase orders through the Business Office.
  • Conduct vendor research and maintain effective communication with suppliers and partners.
  • Actively engage in and support school activities and events.
  • Contribute to content creation and assist with graphic design tasks.
  • Carry out additional duties as directed by the Senior Director, Communications and Engagement.
Qualifications and Attributes:
  • Minimum Education: Associate's Degree.
  • Experience: At least six months in a related role, preferably within nonprofit, marketing, communications, or alumni relations sectors.
  • Skills:
    • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and Google Workspace.
    • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize effectively.
    • Capable of working autonomously and as part of a team.
    • Creative thinking and problem-solving aptitude.
    • Exceptional interpersonal skills, with a flexible approach to adapting to changing priorities and managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
