  • Assisting in planning and managing a comprehensive facility wide therapeutic recreation program.
  • Fosters feeling of self-worth and respect by treating residents with kindness and understanding
  • Conducting programs in areas of social interaction, theater, games, crafts and music.
  • The Program Assistant assists in the development of a full range of therapeutic recreational programs and activities for all community members with appropriate concern for members' physical and emotional limitations, and individual interest.
  • Carries out activities appropriate to resident's level of functioning
  • Communicating results with Life Enrichment Coordinator.
Education:High-school diploma or equivalent.Professional Experience:A minimum of one year experience in working with members with brain change/ memory support and/or in the skilled care industry preferred.The ability to be adaptable to ongoing change and work in a fast-paced, customer-driven environment.Ability to work a variety of different hours and shifts, including weekends and holidays.Condition of Employment:Candidate must successfully complete Pre-Employment Medical Clearance consisting of a Physical, PPD, Drug Test.The next step in our process is a brief 30-minute assessment.
