Job DescriptionThe Advanced Technology and Innovation Pipeline (ATIP) is a program focused on executing the Naval Nuclear Laboratory's Vision of ...deliver(ing) breakthrough innovations yielding unmatched power and propulsion to enable a dominant Naval force. The ATIP program sponsors more than 120 projects across all areas of the Naval Nuclear Propulsion Program. The ATIP Chief Engineer will report to the Advanced Technology and Innovation Manager and act as the overall technical lead for the program to: • Provide general technical consulting across all areas of the ATIP program • Refine and execute screening criteria for project selection • Refine and execute technology project gate reviews • Provide executive analysis of portfolio progress and recommended actions • Provide industry benchmarking to ATIP investments and approaches • Lead external technology scouting function • Provide general consulting to laboratory leadership • Foster and manage relationships with academic, government, and industry technology organizations • Support developing business area improvements across business functions of NNL with a focus on supporting the agile needs of ATIP • Engage with government sponsor (Naval Reactors) on alignment and strategic planning for ATIPApproximately 10-20% travel is expected.
Required Combination of Knowledge and SkillBachelors degree from an accredited college or university in engineering or science related field and 20 years relevant experience; or Master's degree from an accredited college or university in engineering or science related field and 18 years relevant experience.

Pay Range$154,600.00 - $246,400.00 annually Salary information provided is a general guide line only.
