COMPENSATION This full-time position has a rate of pay of $32.70 per hour. BENEFITS

PROGRAM OVERVIEW The Independent Living Program provides every eligible youth in care with independent living skills training to assist in the transition to a successful and independent lifestyle. ILP services are currently delivered to youth ages 14-21 by Side by Side and partnered with Alameda County Social Services. There is an option for this position to become hybrid based on an on-going demonstration of autonomy and continuously meeting program expectations. JOB SUMMARY The Independent Living Program Coordinator is responsible for the coordination of facilitators/trainers/special guests for workshops as well as track and distribute incentives and program related stipends. This role's primary function is to ensure that there are programmatic ILP offerings on a monthly basis that are responsive to the needs of the ILP population and that incentivize program engagement. ESSENTIAL DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES / EXPECTATIONS
  • Plan, schedule, and execute workshops, events, and experiences for ILP youth and program partners that ensure program engagement
  • Create and maintain a sustainable quarterly and annual calendar of workshops, events, and experiences in collaboration with CM's and specialists.
  • Keep referral sources appraised of program changes, events, workshops, and evolutions.
  • Work with ILP Leadership to coordinate workshop facilitators/special guests for ILP workshops.
  • Track and distribute incentives and program-related stipends.
  • Attend and participate in all relevant supervisions, meetings and trainings
  • Create and sustain impactful relationships with CWWs, POs, and STRTP Staff to ensure program engagement.

  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, internet and email.
Requirements QUALIFICATIONS
  • 2+ Years working with adolescent and TAY populations. Experience working with systems engaged youth and TAY strongly preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred. Will also consider AA Degree with one year of applicable experience or High School Diploma and 2 years of applicable experience.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills required.
  • Detail oriented and organized.
  • California Department of Justice and FBI fingerprint clearance.
  • A valid California driver's license, dependable personal automobile for use on the job, insurable by SHS' insurance policy based on DMV record and personal vehicle insurance.
