Program Coordinator, Interfaith Engagement at Bentley University This position is part-time, ten hours a week on campus, from September through June.This position supports the mission of the Spiritual Life Center through program development and implementation, student leadership training, and organizing interfaith engagement opportunities. The program coordinator will oversee the Center's religious pluralism training and program offerings while fostering a vibrant and inclusive campus culture. Strong administrative and communication skills shared in a creative and collaborative work environment are necessary. Interpersonal skills are needed for relationship building with a wide variety of student, campus, and community partners. The position works in direct collaboration with the Director, Chaplains, student assistants, and student leaders. The position reports to the Director.Responsibilities Oversee Interfaith Allyship program, supervising two student staff members in continued design and implementation of Interfaith Allyship training sessions.Work with Director to lead the Interfaith Fellows program, a cohort of 10 undergraduates who learn appreciative knowledge of world religions, experience multi-faith community, and gain leadership skills as DEI interfaith bridge builders.Mentor student leaders of religious life organizations in effective leadership and Center programming (Currently Jewish, Muslim, Protestant, and Catholic groups).Launch and lead a re-designed student Interfaith Council, fostering interaction and shared projects.Provide opportunities for interfaith literacy especially related to business contexts.Work with Director and staff to plan and execute Center events such as “Art and Soul,” “We're Better Together” interfaith engagement, Study Day Retreats, Interfaith Day of Service.Collaborate with numerous offices and divisions across campus for programming, Center advancement, and support of students.Contribute to the Center assessment strategies, connecting assessment to Center mission and goals as well as University and divisional goals.Contribute to Center communications in social media and newsletter excellence.Other Duties Assist as needed with division-wide and campus-wide programs (such as Orientation, Diversity and Inclusion training, Admissions Open Houses, Vigils, Falcon Weekend, PRIDE month).Serve on Student Affairs division or University-wide committees when applicable.Other duties as assigned to support the mission of the Center.Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree plus experience with student engagement.Working knowledge of diverse religious traditions and theory and practice of interfaith engagement.Strong organizational, project management, and event planning skills.Technology strength in social media, digital design for marketing (flyers, newsletters) and computer platforms (ability to learn Outlook, Microsoft Teams, Zoom, etc).Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.Creative and collaborative mindset.Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion embedded with religious pluralism.Preferred Qualifications Master's Degree or Master's Candidate in Theology, Higher Education, Counseling, or a related field.1-2 years experience with student engagement.Advanced knowledge of world religions, theory and practice of interfaith engagement, and student development theory.Experience in multi-faith settings, diversity training programs, diverse worldviews and traditions, or spiritual formation.Environment is fast-paced. Some evening and weekend work required as dictated by program.Work is team-oriented with Directors, Chaplains, and student leaders.#J-18808-Ljbffr
