Encircle is a non-profit organization with the mission to bring the family and community together to enable our LGBTQ+ youth to thrive. Our guiding philosophy of No Sides, Only Love is at the heart of all our programs, services, and activities. Job Summary: The Program Coordinator at Encircle plays a crucial role in supporting the Heber house's mission to empower LGBTQ+ youth through community engagement and nurturing environments. This position contributes to the overall success of programs, ensuring high-quality services and positive experiences for all community members. Time Commitment: 25 hours a week (on average). Weekly maximum of 29 hours. Responsibilities:

  • Supervise Drop-In Hours Monday through Friday from 3 PM to 8 PM, with occasional Saturday shifts.
  • Manage interns and volunteers to ensure smooth operation of weekly programs.
  • Regularly attend Programs and Friendship Circles to assess service quality.
  • Mentor youth, enforce boundaries, and create a nurturing atmosphere.
  • Organize activities, promote participation, and facilitate positive social interactions.
  • Assist with event planning and coordination, including monthly Rainbow Brunch Events.
  • Assist Program Director in strategizing Community Engagement initiatives and events to initiate and maintain key community partnerships and sponsorships. Including: representing the organization at various tabling events.
  • Promote events through emails, flyers, and other communication channels; Work with marketing team to promote events through social media.
  • Utilize Asana for task management and project planning.
  • Participate in weekly Home Team meetings to collaborate on projects, review goals, and align priorities.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports on home operations and program evaluations.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or some college experience in psychology, social work, or related fields (preferred).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and general computer skills.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Experience mentoring youth and facilitating group discussions.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Enthusiastic and self-driven.
  • Ability to pass a Utah State background check.
  • Spanish-speaking ability is a plus.
