The Community Youth Center of San Francisco (CYC) provides education, leadership development, behavioral health, intervention, street outreach, and workforce development services to San Francisco youth and their families. Title: Program Coordinator - (CYC Leadership Program, Clementine Collective)
Salary: $28.00 - $32.00 per hour plus benefits
Reports to: Senior Program Coordinator
Status: Full-Time (40 hours/week), Non-Exempt
Program Summary:
Young Asian Women Against Violence (YAWAV) is committed to prevent violence against Asian and Pacific Islander girls, young women, and non-binary youth, particularly dating/domestic violence and sexual assault. Under the supervision of the Program Coordinator, a team of young Asian women peer leaders (ages 15-18) will participate in intensive training, produce multilingual educational materials, outreach and educate schools and communities.
Clementine Collective is a leadership program and support group dedicated to the positive empowerment and development of Asian/Pacific Islander LGBTQIA+ youth and their allies in San Francisco. Clementine Collective participants learn about API and LGBTQIA+ identity, history, and culture, while creating community with other young people. Our goals are to strengthen the resilience, pride, knowledge, and skills of youth leaders so that we can educate others and build healthy communities.
Position Description:
The Program Coordinator is responsible for developing and facilitating curriculum for the peer leaders, coordinating workshops and events with community members, developing a mentorship program, and meeting other grant requirements. The Program Coordinator will be an advocate and community liaison to raise public awareness of gender-based violence and LGBTQ+ issues.
