Job Description :

Minimum Education Requirement:

Graduate from a School of Nursing, Physical, Occupational, or Speech Language Pathology Therapy Programs. BSN or Bachelors in PT, OT, SLP required. Master's degree preferred.

Minimum Experience Requirement:

Five years experience in the clinical area relevant to unit/service patient population, including proven experience/expertise in management area preferred. Possesses a thorough knowledge of nursing principles. Demonstrates ability to provide quality patient care. Possesses ability to assess patient's needs, e.g., clinical, teaching, mental and spiritual. Must recognize safety issues to self and others and be able to assess and implement use of lifts to lift and move patients in a safe manner. Must be able to function well in stressful situations and have good, creative, problem-solving skills. Strong leadership skills with the ability to prioritize and delegate. Demonstrated commitment to quality, timely, and cost-effective patient care. Excellent interpersonal, organizational, written and verbal communication skills required. Detail attentiveness required. Ability to simultaneously handle multiple assignments and projects with speed and accuracy. Able to work efficiently and effectively under time constraints. Proficient in the use of a personal computer including word processing. Ability to independently take initiative and exercise good judgment in decision-making. Professional maturity that daily sets the tone in carrying out the responsibilities of the position. High degree of honesty, integrity and confidentiality. Demonstrates flexibility and willingness to undertake new responsibilities as assigned. Ability to work under stress.

Minimum License Requirement:

Current NYS license required in field of study. Current BLS certification required or obtained within 3 months. Current ACLS certification preferred.
