We are seeking an interim ProgramInvestigative Officer III to join the Department of Parks, Division of Human Resources. This position willconduct investigations into workplace complaints including misconduct, theft, discrimination, harassment, andother sensitive matters.This is not a full-time permanent position.This is an Interim position. An Interim position means a position established to address a one-time or recurring need of less than nine (9) months duration and exempt from the classified service under KRS 18A.115.Job duties include but are not limited to:
  • Conducts surveillance, interviews employees, and leads investigations.
  • Researches policies and procedures as it relates to investigative matters.
  • Prepares detailed investigative reports and findings.
  • Advises appointing authority and office of legal affairs on compliance issues and report findings.
  • Testifies in judicial, administrative, and personnel board hearings.
  • Drafts correspondence for the Appointing Authority including memos, reports, and letters.
  • Maintains confidentiality.

Minimum RequirementsEDUCATION:Graduate of a college or university with a bachelor's degree.EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS:Must have four years of experience in the field of investigation, administrative, business, or social work/eligibility experience.Substitute EDUCATION for EXPERIENCE:Graduate study in the above fields will substitute for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.Substitute EXPERIENCE for EDUCATION:Experience in one of the above fields will substitute for the required college on a year-for-year basis. Current or prior military experience will substitute for the required college on a year-for-year basis.SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (AGE, LICENSURE, REGULATION, ETC.):Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license prior employment in this job classification. Must maintain any required licensure(s), certification(s), or other credentials for the length of employment in this job classification.
