Why not help maintain a positive atmosphere free of harassment and discriminationin the workplace. We are hiring a Program Investigator III at the Cabinet for Health and Family Services(CHFS). You will conduct investigations and make recommendations to ensure that the workplace is free of harassmentand discrimination for all employees. You should have strong investigative skills, excellentcommunication/listening skills and enjoy helping others. This is an Interim position. An Interim position means a position established to address a one-time or recurring need of less than nine (9) months duration and exempt from the classified service under KRS 18A.115. Duties for this position include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Conduct thorough and unbiased EEO/Title VI investigations, conduct interviews, report writing, and compiledetailed findings reports and make recommendations.
  • Consult with Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO)/Civil Rights Branch Manager regarding cases, providetechnical assistance to all levels of management with respect to EEO/Americans with Disabilities Act(ADA)/Title VI compliance issues, and perform ADA analysis to assist employees qualified under the ADA who mayneed an assistive device(s) or other accommodations.
  • Ensure all statutes, regulations, policies and procedures obtained through the investigation process arebeing followed.
  • Assist with conducting Title VI/VII surveys, and Title VI Plan updates.
  • Participate in developing and conducting EEO/ADA/Title VI training presentations.

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS:Must have four years of experience in the field of investigation, administrative, business, or social work/eligibility experience. Substitute EDUCATION for EXPERIENCE:Graduate study in the above fields will substitute for the required experience on a year-for-year basis. Substitute EXPERIENCE for EDUCATION:Experience in one of the above fields will substitute for the required college on a year-for-year basis. Current or prior military experience will substitute for the required college on a year-for-year basis. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (AGE, LICENSURE, REGULATION, ETC.):Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license prior employment in this job classification. Must maintain any required licensure(s), certification(s), or other credentials for the length of employment in this job classification.
