UPDATE:
  • We need candidates who have individual program budgeting experience and grasp some of the more macro tech finance concepts like allocations.
  • We also need Business Analyst experience and a detail-oriented approach may help driving sessions to document requirements and agreement on them across stakeholders.
  • We need a project manager with business analyst experience and driving end to end to end program management experience AND at least ability to engage SMEs and drive program and requirements.
  • We can use a program or project manager with some recent financial/banking or capital markets experience, excellent communication skills and rally experience is a huge plus. Rate is flexible so please send candidates if over the target.
  • Their main job should be knowing the it spend of their organization, not a regular project manager with the usual budget/spend experience. Resumes need to have key words like shared services, cost, spend on recent projects. This is a business manager or project manager/cfo who all they do is focus on cost and reporting.

Key Responsibilities: Shared Services Cost Transparency
  • Lead program management and coordination efforts to define and implement a solution to systematically track and report upon Shared Services Technology expenses by expense drivers
  • Facilitate working sessions with key stakeholders in finance and across technology divisions to document requirements on key expense categories and expense drivers along with options to systematically track
  • Facilitate implementation of requirements, install required testing and business validation check points and manage quality assurance / user acceptance testing ( QA/UAT ) cycles
  • Develop and own project plan, status updates, requirements document/Jira board, and run daily stand ups
  • Provide credible challenge to technology division and finance leadership on the proposed bucketing and tracking of expense drivers
Program Management Tooling Integration
  • Lead program management and coordination to integrate Rally with a homegrown program management tool that drives financials
  • Facilitate working sessions with key stakeholder in COO/PMO organization and tech finance to document requirements
  • Ensure appropriate integration requirements and data mapping
Desired Profile:
  • High EQ with the ability to independently drive and manage a program across a diverse set of stakeholders in a fast-paced environment
  • Program management and business analysis experience in the financial services industry with a consulting background preferred
  • Ability to interact with and influence senior client stakeholders
  • Ability to quickly turn around work to meet tight deadlines and adapt to a ever-changing environment
Desired Qualifications:
  • 5-15 years' experience in the financial services industry
  • 3-5+ years' experience in consulting
  • Experience with program management toolsets, experience with Rally preferred
  • Experience with Agile delivery methodology, SaFE certifications a plus
  • Experience working in a Tech CFO/Tech Finance organization at a large financial institutions
  • Knowledge of the different drivers of shared services technology expenses are how they are allocated back to lines of business
  • Experience with tracking and projecting technology expenses such as CTB/RTB labor, software capitalization/IDS amort, capital expenditures, space, third-party software, and other IP&C
  • Experience in working with technology budgets, expense/P&L management, and multi-year planning
  • General knowledge of key technology products and services in the financial services industry
  • Experience in facilitating working sessions to elicit requirements and overseeing implementation of sustainable reporting solutions
  • Ability to manage a program end-to-end, including development of program plan, stakeholder coordination, status updates, and implementation tracking and oversight
