The Program Manager will spearhead the development, execution, and oversight of educational programs. This position oversees the creation and dissemination of educational initiatives within JAX. Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, this role develops educational materials and strategies for learners across various educational levels, fostering the integration into practice.The Program Manager drives the development of interactive resources, workshops, and online modules, emphasizing evidence-based and inclusive learning approaches and the needs of diverse learners. This role involves strategic collaborations to align educational objectives with institutional priorities and engage diverse stakeholders and demands a seasoned professional with exceptional leadership skills and a passion for crafting impactful learning experiences.Key Responsibilities and Essential Functions* Lead the development, execution, and dissemination of educational programs across diverse educational levels and platforms* Manage project timelines, resources, and collaborations with instructional designers, communicators, subject matter experts, and other stakeholders* Contribute to strategic discussions aligning educational initiatives with institutional priorities and directions* Execute education projects by working with instruction design and content developer collaborators to convert complex content into innovative educational modules including learning goals, activities and assessments appropriate for the learner group.* Contributes to the grant writing to support JAX Genomic Education efforts and serves as lead author on manuscript writing to disseminate educational research.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities* Expertise in genetics, genomics* Curriculum development and educational material creation* Project management and resource allocation* Engaging diverse audiences and fostering outreach initiatives* Awareness of cultural nuances and the ability to adapt outreach strategies to different cultural contexts, ensuring that genomics education initiatives are culturally sensitive and respectfulEducation: Masters required/PhD preferredExperience: 4 years required/6 years preferredSupervisory: May Supervise - 4 years required/6 years preferredPay Range: $68,344 - $88,847#CA-NL6About JAX:The Jackson Laboratory is an independent, nonprofit biomedical research institution with a National Cancer Institute-designated Cancer Center and nearly 3,000 employees in locations across the United States (Maine, Connecticut, California), Japan and China.
