PROGRAM MANAGER-GRADUATE PROGRAMSTo oversee graduate programs, business operations, HR processes, and special events in the Graduate School. To coordinate and attend student recruiting events.Duties & Responsibilities:* Advises Computer Science MS students and serves as the key point of contact for all MS students; helps them get schedules together (when needed) and proceeds with graduation analysis. Graduation and Certificate applications: as the first approver for degree/certificate applications; sends out degree/certificate application reminders to students at the beginning of each semester; makes sure students link their personal accounts to UABCS LinkedIn account when they apply for graduation; conducts student exit surveys and generates reports for various purposes such as curriculum improvement and program quality evaluation Admission: liaison with INTO; assists the MS program director in admission. OPT: checks whether the student's graduation application has been submitted and approved by the MS program director at CS, before signing OPT form; liaison with industries on internship opportunities for students. (All international students need this approved before their graduation) CPT (30 students every semester): checks the validity of proposed employers; checks whether the student is in a good standing; checks whether the offer letter has all the required components; collects evaluation letters from employers at semester end. International Student Vacation Forms: Signs vacation form: checks whether the student has been enrolled full time (9 chrs/semester) for at least two consecutive semesters prior to this request before signing the form. (All international students need this approved for each summer.) International Student Final Semester Check: Reduced course load: assists the MS program director and the department chair in approving requests from students for a reduced course load for their final semester. AIC Data Analysis Education: collects data of students who committed AIC violations for further analysis and potential improvements on MS admission criteria; organizes and hosts AIC related seminars for MS students.* Works with MS program director on a variety of other tasks, including strategies for continuously improving the MS programs, putting together orientation events, keeping up with accreditation-related data, and keeping track of the employment status of graduates, etc. Works with Career Service on mini job fairs for Computer Science graduate students. Marketing Communication: Participates in marketing activities; keeps web pages for MS programs up to date; helps maintain and update graduate program social media (e.g., LinkedIn); and works with the MS program director on day-to-day communications* Acts as the first point of contact for potential new students; also involves going to targeted grad school fairs/events* Performs other duties as assignedSalary Range: $45,395-$73,770Bachelor's degree in a related field and three (3) years of related experience required.
