Position Purpose:

Manage the services provided to accounts for assigned area. Ensures that all proposal and contractual obligations between Stericycle and customer are met. Responsible for coordinating program resources, Stericycle and Customer employees, and 3rd party contractors, in order to deliver contract deliverables on-time and according to plan and to consistently meet customer expectations. Define scope of work, deliverables, and goals, as outlined in the customer contract.

Key Job Activities:

* Selects, trains, and develops an effective and efficient staff: o Makes every reasonable effort to select, train, and develop qualified, diverse workforce o Establishes and communicates performance standards and objectives; conducts performance appraisals o Recommends salary adjustments, promotions, transfers and dismissals o Monitors operations and staff and recommends, when necessary, changes in methods, procedures, structure, and additions or changes in personnel to secure optimum utilization of resources o Counsels team members on educational and job opportunities, which will enhance their career development, and keeps staff informed of current problems, changes, and new developments in the department and company by conducting periodic meetings o Administers all Company policies and procedures, communicates to staff, interprets, as necessary, and ensures compliance and safety o Monitors and ensures that team members are performing their functions safely and productively. Makes recommendations for changes or improvement, when necessary, in order to prevent accident or injuries * Upon implementation, actively manage selected service providers of MSW, Recycling, Confidential Documents, Hazardous Waste and Construction Waste, as well as existing RMW and SMS, in order to achieve target gross margins and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction * Develop full scale project plans, timelines, milestones, and associated communication documents. Serve as project leader in managing key service conversions * Clearly and effectively communicate plans, goals, and expectations with hospital employees, team members, vendors, and administration. Provide the customer quick resolution and follow-up on all projects and issues * Assist sales in assessing efficiency opportunities and forming the implementation plan to maximize gross margin during the initial customer implementation. Ensures Stericycle gross profit goals are achieved * Assist Strategic Sourcing in the selection of 3rd party vendors to ensure the service and price structure is in place to meet the requirements of the customer while obtaining internal goals for the customer * Draft and submit budget proposals, and recommend subsequent budget adjustments, as necessary * Proactively manage changes in the scope of work, identify potential issues/concerns, and devise contingency plans. Resolve conflicts, as required * Continuously track milestones and deliverables. Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, documentation and presentations to project team members and customers. Build good relationships with key decision makers within assigned accounts and keep them advised of the programs' progress * Identify successful and unsuccessful project elements; develop best practices and tools for future program execution and management * Estimate physical assets and human resources required to achieve program goals * Supervise, teach and motivate project team members, as well as contractors, influencing positive action and accountability for assigned tasks. Participate in educational events and/or in-servicing units as required * Delegate tasks and responsibilities to team members as appropriate * Effectively coordinate HCS installs and post-install activity

Education: Preferred Education: in Bachelors or Equivalent Experience (North America):

* Bachelors or equivalent * A minimum of 3 years of previous project management experience, preferred * Demonstrates sound regulatory knowledge, including, but not limited to, the Joint Commission, EPA, DOT and OSHA standards and codes as they apply to the waste industry and healthcare institutions * Experience with waste management, recycling, environmental standards, government regulations and compliance related experience is preferred but not required * Previous experience and/or knowledge of P&L preferred
