We have an opportunity at our corporate offices in Chicago for a Program Manager on our Center for Health Equity team. This is a hybrid position reporting into our Chicago, IL office, requiring 2-3 days a week in the office.
As a Program Manager, you will be responsible for contributing to the overall design, development, and management of the Health Equity Innovation Recognition Program. Provides support to other CHE programs as needed. This role involves building strong leadership connections and serving as a liaison to external partners whose work aligns with portfolio programs goals. Participate in and guide the creation of processes for measuring, monitoring, and reporting on the achievement of Center for Health Equity strategic objectives. Develop targeted messaging and educational content for key stakeholders (physicians, medical practices/health systems, primary care clinics and patients). Facilitate program convenings and report regularly on program deliverables.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Program Management
+ Lead activities related to the Health Equity Innovation Recognition Program that recognize and reward outstanding contributions to health equity.
+ Build a systematic approach to identify applications of technology, software, data and/or analytics to accelerate the advancement of health equity.
+ Collaborate on integration of innovation expertise into a broader portfolio across the Center for Health Equity and AMA business units, as appropriate.
+ Contributes to the proposal of new and expanding existing strategy and program design.
+ Develop and oversee implementation of defined processes and systems for project execution, including development of project charters, assembling project teams, task coordination, contracts/invoices, and issue management, as appropriate.
+ Deliver project tasks on time with high quality and ensure that deliverables/milestones are met.
+ Report project status regularly, identify barriers to a projects successful execution, and propose potential solutions; coordinate activities with other internal teams as applicable, and adhere to the project budget.
+ Serve as the primary point of contact with vendors to ensure timelines are met and revised as necessary.
+ Organize and create materials for presentations and develop and distribute updates to stakeholders.
Program Support
+ Provide administrative/operational program support for other Center for Health Equity programs as needed, including but not limited to:
+ Medical Justice and Advocacy Fellowship (MJAF) program
+ West Side United
+ Minoritized and Marginalized physician groups collaboration
+ Serve as liaison between programs and vendors to help ensure on-time deliverables.
+ Schedule quarterly meetings and other program related meeting as needed.
+ Assist with the development of the MJAF application process.
Content Development
+ Work with subject matter experts and external vendors to create new educational content that advances program goals.
+ Plan and facilitate webinars and broadcast sessions to engage healthcare personnel in health equity innovation-related training.
+ Develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies to promote programs and drive participation.
Manage Relationships with Key Collaborators and Relevant Stakeholders
+ Identify, foster, and maintain effective long-term with relevant external groups, (e.g., health systems, FQHCs, City, State, Federal agencies, community organizations, educational institutions and AMA Federation members).
+ Help build partnership agreements to ensure alignment with program priorities and maximize impact.
+ Establish and manage collaborations across internal business units relevant to the Program to amplify impact and progress.
+ Represent AMA CHE at various national meetings or coalitions as requested.
+ Facilitate regular communication and meetings with stakeholders to ensure program goals are met.
+ Plan and coordinate or serve as a member of quarterly collaborator, advisor or committee meetings in support of various programs, as needed.
May include other responsibilities as assigned
REQUIREMENTS:
+ Bachelors degree required; Masters degree in public health, healthcare administration, business administration, or related field highly preferred.
+ 5+ years of work experience in program/project planning and management (healthcare, public health or health equity).
+ Strong project management skills with experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives.
+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and collaborate with diverse stakeholders. Strong written and public speaking skills, including experience presenting and facilitating in a large group setting.
+ Advanced skills with creating reports using PowerPoint presentations and written briefs.
+ Proven ability to develop and execute marketing and communication strategies.
+ Experience with data collection, analysis, and reporting.
+ Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
+ Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
+ Some travel required.
