In this role, you'll oversee teams conducting utilization reviews and nursing facility services, collaborate with stakeholders and providers, and drive strategic planning to achieve long-term goals. This is your opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of those we serve here in Nebraska!Examples of WorkThe Program Manager II will:* Provide supervision and guidance to the ICF/DD Program Specialist responsible for utilization reviews for Medicaid funded residents in the ICF/DDs.* Provide supervision and guidance to the nursing facility teammates within the unit.* Perform strategic and long-term planning for assigned functions and teams and establish long-range program requirements and objectives.* Interact and collaborate with stakeholder and provider groups, agency workgroups, contractors, and providers regarding providing effective program services.* Be responsible for operation of assigned programs and administer within budgetary constraints.Requirements / Qualifications:Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in business or public administration, social/behavioral sciences, education, health sciences, public health, education, law or related field and one year experience in program planning, implementation, budgeting, monitoring, evaluating, marketing a program or service and supervising/managing staff. Related coursework, training and/or education may substitute for the Bachelor's degree on a year-for-year basis.Preferred Qualifications: Experience in long-term care systems which can include nursing facilities or ICF/DDs. Experience with interpreting and analyzing laws, rules, regulations, policies, procedures and standards affecting residents of long term care settings. Knowledge of: procedure and policy development; methods and techniques of program planning; federal and state laws, rules, regulations and procedures pertaining to health and human services programs; quality assurance mechanisms; principles and techniques of planning, monitoring and evaluating human services programs and service delivery systems.Must possess a valid Nebraska Driver's License.Other: Position is located on-site at the Nebraska State Office Building in Lincoln, OR the Beatrice State Developmental Center (BSDC).Knowledge / Skills / AbilitiesKnowledge of: federal and state regulations, policy development, and requirements for ICF/DDs and Nursing Facilities, knowledge of PASRR requirements, knowledge of the Medicaid Management Information System in regards to prior auths and claims, etc.Ability to: relate well with a diverse number of individuals or organizations; work with people in a variety of roles (leadership, cooperation, education, networking); work with vendors to ensure services are provided appropriately.Skill in: presenting information to groups or individuals in oral or written form; problem solving; prioritizing; goal setting; conflict resolution.BenefitsWe offer a comprehensive package of pay, benefits, paid time off, retirement and professional development opportunities to help you get the most out of your career and life.
