The Program Manager will support all aspects of the defense customer contract management from initial RFQ/RFP through to product delivery and final invoicing. This critical position works closely with engineering, operations and inspection to provide support and guidance to assure that contracts are completed on schedule and to budget. This position is the primary customer program management representative for large multiyear contracts and new products programs. The Program manager will be leading weekly program review sessions with the customers to discuss schedule, costs and technical performance, establish milestones and monitor adherence to the delivery requirements, identify program problems and obtain solutions.Essential Responsibilities Work with management for overall program performance from the proposal stage, contract acceptance, into production, delivery and contract closeout. Interface with and present proposed solutions to high-level representatives of customers. Leadership and positive interpersonal interaction skills required. Knowledge of U.S. Government acquisition practices and correspondence related to contracts. Knowledge of the FAR, DFARS , NIST and CMMC highly desired. Maintain customer portals, surveys, and annual certifications as required. Review new contracts and modifications. Work with quality department and engineering to complete contract reviews. Work closely with planning to ensure materials and hardware are ordered and on schedule for production. Responsible for RFQ/RFP timely submissions.
