Optomi, in partnership with an industry leader in the media and entertainment, is looking for a talented Program Manager to join their team in a hybrid position located in Glendale, CA. This program manager is responsible for leading high-impact technical programs, drive collaboration across global teams, and help shape the future of technology development within our organization.

Responsibilities of the right candidate:

  • Lead and drive the execution and delivery of software development projects, utilizing Agile and Scrum methodologies.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans that include complex activities and dependencies.
  • Oversee project risk management, identifying and communicating potential risks and mitigation plans proactively.
  • Proactively seek ways to enhance processes and practices, ensuring each project iteration delivers improved outcomes.
  • Demonstrate initiative and maintain a proactive approach to project management and problem-solving.
  • Apply extensive knowledge of the software development lifecycle and project management best practices.
  • Maintain fluency in Agile/Scrum and Waterfall methodologies and apply them appropriately to project needs.
  • Utilize industry-standard project management tools such as JIRA and Confluence.

Experience of the right candidate:

  • 6+ years of experience as a technical project manager with direct experience working with engineering teams.
  • 4+ years of hands-on experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies, serving as a scrum lead in developing software applications.
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent experience required.
  • Strong expertise in managing the software development lifecycle.
  • CSM (Certified ScrumMaster) or CSP (Certified Scrum Professional) certification.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and drive complex projects with an understanding of both Agile and Waterfall approaches.
