Job description:
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Program Manager to support customer program evaluations and regulatory research within the energy industry. The role will focus on assessing the effectiveness and cost-effectiveness of various customer programs, including demand response, energy efficiency, and electrification. This individual will contribute to the creation of a centralized research library and manage internal and external stakeholders to ensure the successful execution of research projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations of customer programs (residential and commercial), including demand-side management, energy efficiency, and renewable energy offerings
- Perform regulatory research to support program design and changes
- Collaborate with third-party vendors to oversee customer surveys and product research
- Develop and maintain a centralized library of research, including both existing and future customer product offerings
- Act as a point of contact for two other business units involved in the research library project
- Participate in internal and external meetings with vendors and other stakeholders
- Provide analytical insights, including techno-economic analysis, to guide decision-making.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required (master's in public policy or MBA preferred)
- 2-5 years of experience in the energy industry, ideally with customer programs
- Strong analytical skills, particularly in techno-economic analysis
- Familiarity with utility programs, energy efficiency analysis, or regulatory research
- Experience working with third-party vendors to conduct customer surveys and research
Technical Skills:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) for data analysis and presentations
- Ability to manage research documentation and track project progress
Soft Skills:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong relationship management and ability to work with minimal supervision
- Self-starter with the ability to identify and solve problems proactively
- Strong organizational and project management skills
