BCforward is seeking a highly motivated Program Manager to support their pharmaceutical client in Indianapolis.
Expected Duration: 1 year (option to renew)
Location: Indianapolis, IN/hybrid
The Program Manager is responsible for advanced planning, executing, evaluating, and managing work streams and projects in a highly dynamic business portfolio in collaboration with technology and supporting highly niche business unit areas.
Key success factors include influencing and managing expectations, tasks, and approaches for high performance project teams, reporting status to the respective Project Sponsors and executive enterprise stakeholders, and ensuring effective project and program management through the use of the appropriate tools and collaborative engagement with team members.
Primary Goals and Focus:
- Integrate into client environment to effectively engage and lead program while building positive professional relationships with clients and associates.
- Define project objectives, requirements, and assumptions necessary to structure a project plan and key milestones for multiple work streams and projects running in parallel.
- Plan, schedule, and manage project activities and deliverables to fulfill objectives and satisfy project requirements.
- Develop and drive integrated program plans, aligning program tactics with business strategy and outcomes.
- Maintain, and lead high performance project teams, serving as the project advocate within the client organization.
- Lead, coordinate, facilitate, and motivate all associated project resources to gain alignment on project goals and deliverables.
- Facilitate and lead effective project and program meetings, manage change and conflict, and develop resource planning estimates to manage program workload and productivity.
- Support team members to ensure success of projects while maintaining customer service focus.
Desired Skills and Experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in related field. Advanced degrees are a plus.
- 3-5+ years of project management experience related to one or more of the following disciplines: customer innovation, marketing and medical services, product development and launch, business process optimization, technology transformation, regulatory submission and/or regulatory compliance, Industry experience in Lifesciences or healthcare, digital marketing and patient/user experience, including pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device or clinical trial industries a plus.
- Knowledge and application of a disciplined project management process (Six Sigma and Project Management Professional certifications are a plus).
- Exceptional interpersonal and leadership skills to effectively communicate and build relationships with a broad spectrum of audiences at all organizational levels.
- Sound technical aptitude and proven ability to grasp general knowledge of multiple disciplines and technologies with superior computer usage skills.
- Strong competencies in planning, project management, and organization with the ability to lead multiple activities, projects and resources while maintaining a focus on quality.
- Solid analytical and strategic capabilities and business acumen along with demonstrated work ethic, integrity, and professional conduct and professional appearance.
- Ability to produce and present clear, concise, and professionally written communications and presentations
- Previous business management consulting experience, preferably in the health care, life sciences or pharmaceuticals verticals.
