Job Description :

The ideal candidate will be a Former Senior U.S. Military Public Affairs Professional who is comfortable outlining, planning and performing communications planning and support services for the Office of the Chief of Public Affairs, Army Public Affairs program. The program manager will have primary over sight of all work performed on contract to include: Communication Research, Analysis and Evaluation, Communication Planning, Communication Product Development, Army Outreach Support, Professional Development and Training, Exhibit Management, and Executive Communication Support. This individual should be able to foresee any problems related to the completion of a project and act in a timely manner to mitigate any issues. The Program Manager (or alternate) shall be located at the Pentagon and be available between the hours of 0700-1800 EST Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise the planning and execution of the commander's communication strategy
  • Utilize corporate communication, media and stakeholder engagements, and community outreach activities that is directed toward external and internal publics with interest in the Department of Defense
  • Develop timelines, budget, teams and plan for given projects
  • Ensure high quality work is produced
  • Anticipate and solve any problems related to the program
  • Conduct performance reviews and evaluate program
  • Facilitate communication between relevant teams

Qualifications

  • Master's degree
  • 15 years demonstrated professional Experience, with 5 Years of continuous experience at the strategic level
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification required - Must be current
  • Must have Served at least one tour in the Pentagon
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite to include Word, Power Point, and Excel
  • Strong communication, organizational, analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Shall be fluent in the English language and have the ability to read, write, and comprehend the English language
  • A National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) background check is required
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
