Program Manager, Support for Workforce Training (SWFT) CEJAThis position is an on-campus, grant-funded, full-time, 12-month appointment covered by the Professional Support Staff (PSS) Union with an annual salary of $55,166.69Application Close Date/Time: Wednesday, December 4th at 6PM CT The Program Manager for Support for Workforce Training (SWFT) CEJA is responsible for the coordination of the promotion, recruitment, selection, and case management of student participants in the SWFT program, which is funded by the State of Illinois' Climate and Equitable Jobs Act (CEJA). This position involves frequent handling of confidential information and records. The Program Manager must be able to work independently as well as on a team, make sound counseling decisions, and accurately prioritize tasks. This position will work in collaboration with the Director of the Support for Workforce Training to achieve the goals of the State of Illinois' Climate and Equitable Jobs Act (CEJA) Hub Grant. Essential Job Functions:
- Coordinate the recruitment and selection of students in eligible programs for participation.
- Responsible for community outreach and development with potential referral organizations and partners.
- Coordinate and provide student case management services for SWFT (CEJA) in cooperation with other SWFT staff by tracking student data; providing available resources to address student barriers to success; tracking successes both during and following.
- Liaison with faculty and industry professionals program directors to promote student success.
- Manage appropriate program budget items including tuition, supplies, and student stipends.
- Assist the Director for SWFT in developing and monitoring the annual program plan and the reporting of program data for quarterly and annual reports.
- Collaborate with Marketing and Public Relations to deliver messages in alignment with Parkland's institutional brand.
- Provide clerical and front office support as needed; handle SWFT (CEJA) related customer service issues; walk-in inquiries; and general program inquiries.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field; OR six (6) years related work experience in program management/coordination; OR an equivalent combination of education and related work experience.
- Case management experience and/or project management experience.
- Ability to establish, develop, and maintain professional relationships with individuals, employers, and organizations with diverse populations.
- Demonstrated success working with diverse populations to include one of the following first-generation, underrepresented, disabled, or low-income populations.
- Excellent organizational and management skills to effectively manage multiple constituencies simultaneously and independently.
- Will be meeting and working with students.
- Professional and self-starter, working independently and on a team.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, can engage effectively with diverse audiences in both large and small group settings. Must be able to produce, edit, and tailor written materials relevant to the role.
- Proficient at using Microsoft applications that include presentation applications, the ability to learn the Parkland student information system, and new software programs and systems as they emerge.
