About This Role:
The Department of Entomology at Kansas State University, Manhattan, KS, is looking to hire a full-time Program/Project Coordinator with extensive beekeeping experience and knowledge to support the implementation of daily operations associated with our American Honey Institute ( This position is also responsible for coordinating and maintaining the necessary training assets for our multi-level beekeeping courses and honey production efforts.

What You'll Need to Succeed:
Minimum Qualifications:
* Bachelor's Degree
* This position may use an educational equivalency as determined relevant by a hiring manager
Preferred Qualifications:
* Master Beekeeper Certificate.
* Experience working with a commercial beekeeper and completion of an approved apprenticeship training program and/or a minimum of 5 years of beekeeping experience.
* Energetic with endurance.
* Team Player with ability to fit in with disparate personalities and groups.
Other Requirements:
* Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States at the time of employment.
* Possession of, or the ability to obtain, a valid Kansas Class C Driver's License within 90 days of employment.
* Basic familiarity with Microsoft Business Tools and ability to learn supporting programs such as Quick books and WIX.
* Ability to conduct field work in remote locations.
* Ability to work under adverse conditions for long and irregular hours,
* Must be capable of wearing a bee suit in high/extreme temperatures (excess of 105 degrees).
* Ability to cope with stress.
* Highly organized and able to perform in a professional manner
* Ability to stay oriented on task.
* Ability to provide clear two-way communications.
* Ability to deal with emergencies in a timely manner.
* Portray a positive attitude.
