Operating across six states, we continue to grow and innovate in the ever-evolving media landscape.The Programmer Analyst works directly with local and remote end users to diagnose and resolve a wide variety of software issues in a fast-paced environment. The role is part of a team responsible for various technologies used by the company including newspaper advertising, circulation, call management, and automated robot systems. We are looking for individuals committed to providing excellent customer service through prompt problem resolution, communication, and documentation.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Administration and end user support of newspaper advertising, circulation, and call management systems. Creates and maintains processes in an automated robot system involving multiple platforms. Responds to inbound calls, emails, and support tickets from users regarding issues. Provides daily support to local users and outlying sites. Track issues and document status until completion. Good attendance is required. Assisting with special projects. Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS Knowledge of, or ability to learn, newspaper advertising and circulation system software. Knowledge of, or ability to learn, call management system software. Knowledge of, or ability to learn, automated robot system software. Knowledge of MS Office. Knowledge of, or ability to learn, Microsoft Windows desktop and Mac OSX desktop operating systems. Ability to work both individually and in group situations on tasks. Ability to problem solve and quickly troubleshoot complex issues. Ability to work one-on-one with users. Ability to understand verbal instructions and work to completion. Ability to take notes and use those notes for future tasks. Ability to read and follow written instructions and manuals, working to completion. Ability to follow documented processes and procedures. Ability to get along well with others in a stressful environment. Ability to follow company policies and procedures. Ability to travel to satellite offices as required. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities. College degree in the field of Information Technology and two years of experience working in an IT role preferred.
