Seeking a hard-working and passionate intern that is interested in learning more about the music industry, and more specifically how we book and manage shows. This position supports STG's programming team – who are responsible for booking the great acts that take place at STG's venues, and beyond. This is an hourly position that will earn $22/hour working an average of 15 hours per week.

Time Commitment: Average of 15 hours per week, in the office (days and hours are flexible — likely three, five-hour days) within regular work hours (between 9am and 6pm, Mon-Fri) at The Paramount. Thursdays are preferred, however there is flexibility in the schedule. Some weeks there are opportunities for more hours.

Dates: Monday, Jan 28th - August 29th, 2025.

Learning Objectives and Duties

  • Learn the processes and intricacies of tracking show and artist-related data.
  • Develop a strong attention to detail in:
  • Coordinating show-file information.
  • Preparing Marquee templates.
  • Maintaining data on local support acts.
  • Develop research and presentation skills in:
  • Researching acts for potential booking opportunities with various promoters.
  • Researching and vetting potential rental clients for STG venues.
  • Assist in a variety of tasks related to THING Festival.
  • Administrative support duties as needed, including supply ordering.
  • Activities That Contribute to Learning

  • Support and shadow programming team-members on daily tasks and assignments.
  • Small outreach and data-defined projects that will help the understanding of intricacies in the industry and the importance of attention to detail.
  • Self-assessment projects that will provide resources to self-evaluate and learn from experiences in this position.

    Position Requirements

  • Ideally pursuing coursework or career related to internship.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, Sharepoint etc.), and the ability to learn new software (PromoterOps).
  • Must be able to provide 3 references and pass a background check.
  • Physical Requirements

  • Vision – corrected vision close to 20/20 is necessary to effectively use the computer screen.
  • Sitting/Standing/Walking/Lifting – about 75% of the time is spent seated at a desk.
